JOB DESCRIPTION
- Monitoring – managing contracts and project estimates:
- Monitor and manage construction contracts - get detailed information about contract value, implementation time, items to be completed.
- Based on the winning bid estimate, separate costs for accounting.
- Carefully read the project estimate, stick to the cost breakdown table - accurately grasp the cost level so that when exporting materials, it must match the estimated norm.
- Tracking expenses:
- Track material costs, labor costs, equipment operation... timely detect deviations from the norm - determine the cause, other costs outside the estimated plan...
- Monitor construction log to accurately determine the specific fuel consumption of construction machines.
- Prepare - track the payroll of employees according to the actual construction progress.
- Accounting:
- Gather, allocate costs and calculate the cost of each project and item (according to the construction site).
- Check the process of implementing the cost plan - propose effective and reasonable cost reduction solutions.
- Track the costs in progress and calculate the cost for each project - item to serve the settlement of the total value of the construction work.
- Check the validity - accuracy of accounting documents before making book-accounting. Each item - work has a separate estimate, so when calculating the cost of any work, it must be included in the corresponding value of that work.
- Making report:
- Make reports when detecting differences compared to norms, expenses incurred outside the estimate.
- Prepare periodical work reports according to the regulations of the enterprise.
- Prepare quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial reports.
- Other jobs:
- Construction works often span many accounting periods, so construction accountants need a way to manage - monitor - control construction progress and allocate costs for each completion stage.
- Issue invoices to recognize revenue for completed works and invoices related to operations.
- Classify and archive accounting books according to regulations.
- Attend related meetings, perform other tasks when requested by Supervisors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher majoring in accounting, economics, finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Basic understanding of concepts: rough drawings, detailed drawings, design, construction, cost estimates (estimated costs), final settlement (actual value of the work) …
- Read - understand the work cost estimate table, work settlement to compare the difference between the estimate and reality.
- Understand the cost items commonly found in construction works: direct material costs (based on estimates), direct labor costs (construction crew or outsourced), construction machine costs labor, manufacturing overhead…
- Each item must be closely monitored because each item has a different estimate, settlement, and material use – and depends on geographical features.
- For construction works with many different items, when completing each item, an invoice will be issued to recognize the revenue of that item.
- Understanding forms according to state regulations and how to create report templates for internal reporting.
- Regularly update the Government's Decrees, Regulations, Circulars... related to: construction law, land law, accounting law...
